The Norwich County pilotproject (England)

Klavs @ 1:18 pm December 10, 2006

Norwich County has launched a pilotproject delivering free WiFi access for the city. DIIRWB had the oppertunity to study this on their own when visiting the city on ….december 2006. DIIRWB was invited as partner in the European Union BIRD-project. The project is aiming to bring forward recomendations for a strategy of broadband to the European Commision. Bjarke is member of the projects thinktank. DIIRWBs perspective to be involved in this project is of course to do our best that the broadband strategies in the EU will not further widthen the social divide between the rural areas and the big cities.
